Dana Bol is a multi-disciplinary artist. She studied experimental film with Stan Brakhage at the University of Colorado Boulder, engendering a life long love of layered imagery and film. Dana worked at several editorial companies in New York City before forming arc*light editorial in 1998. She was the managing director until 2001, when she formed Tallgirl, a company specializing in VFX and Creative Film Editing which she still runs today. She has worked with legendary directors like Spike Lee, John Schlesinger and Ellen Kuras.
Dana has edited documentaries and commercials as well as social assets and content for immersive design. Her work has been screened at the Louvre, Radio City Music Hall and during the Oscars. She is collaborative and creative and a pleasure to work with.
In 2006, Dana attended Parson’s School of Design and it opened up a world of painting and immersive space design. She developed the current techniques used in her painting while in studio classes. Working in the experiential and multi-screened realm is another aspect of Dana’s creative output.
Dana has exhibited her paintings in solo and group shows-Radiant Traces 2010, Found Objects 2020, Roost Artist Group Show 2023, Fragments I and II 2024, Reclamation 2025 and the upcoming experiential art exhibit MUSING 2026 at the Norman Sunshine Center.
