Created in 2026 and part of the MUSING series-Erato is drawn with deep carmine accented with blues and gold. The MUSING series is a reimagining the 9 muses as emotion and non representational. Each muse plate is piles of linen that is bound together with plaster and copper “thread” and hangs by leather braids and beads. Viewers are asked to feel rather than think and imagine points of historical intersectionality. The power inherent in the plaster and linen base seeps through the linseed oil and pigments, adding another layer and level of exploration.
